Even though different people from different parties, never wanted to come to a common terms for the greater good of Bangladesh, when that Bangabandhu 1 satellite blasted away to the sky at 2:14 am Bangladesh time, nobody said anything but good words. Because this is truly a great deal for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh should have done this long time ago. There is so much things we can learn from our neighbouring countries. As an example, the first satellite was built by India was Aryabhata. Which was launched by the Soviet Union on 19 April 1975. It was named after the great Mathematician Aryabhata. In 1980,Satellite Rohini became the first satellite to be placed in orbit by an Indian-made launch vehicle, SLV-3.
Think about it, the country that is 22 times bigger than Bangladesh decided to do something about technology at that time. India received independence in 1947. It took 28 years after independence for them to decide something revolutionary like this. And Bangladesh took 47 years after the independence to develop something like this and still different political parties are spreading words about this in a wrong way just to get some attention. But hey, i get it. Nothing is perfect. But it’s a start. And we needed that without a question. It is a new beginning of Bangladesh in the space. And with that launch Bangladesh have became the 57th country who launched satellite in the space.
Right now there are approximately 1,459 artificial satellites orbiting the Earth. Among them our neighbouring country launched more than 104 satellites, It is the largest number of satellites launched on a single flight by any space agency. It is high time that we also develop our country on technology as well.
Even if you don’t like my facts, there is no doubt that the satellite launched by spaceX is the best thing that happened in 2018 for Bangladesh. We should forget what political party we are doing for once, and as a Bangladeshi we must think positive and pray for the betterment of our country.
