Networking. Mannnnnn, you can’t LIVE properly if you don’t do it properly!

NO, NO, NO! I am not only talking for the Network Marketers.. I am talking for every human in general on the earth.

We all know, the famous quote,

“The power of your network is infinite

and indeed it is!

You are basically an average of people you Network with, in all spheres, be it your income, relationships, your personal life or professional, everything is dependent upon whom do you Network with and with what intention.

Intentions to STRICTLY AVOID while Networking –

  • Personal BenefitsIf you talk to someone so that they join you in your business or life or in anyway, you have already LOST the connection. Though it may happen automatically if you have something which can benefit others too, BUT it should NOT be your core intent.
  • To Harm Others
  • Any Bad Intention

Intentions to keep while Networking –

  • Purely Friendship
  • Learning
  • Mutual Growth
  • To Help Others
  • Any GOOD intention

If you have made your intentions right, then comes the question of How to Approach Effectively to a Person and Connect well. Well! That’s really fun & exciting especially when your intentions are Good!

How to Approach Effectively?

Use F.O.R.M. principle while taking GENUINE interest in their lives! GENUINE, I must repeat this word.

F – Family
O – Occupation
R- Recreation
M – Message

Ask them about themselves, their families, their occupations, what they love to do in leisure time and as you do that, their might be some message which you want to give to them according to the conversations or exchange contacts or set up a meeting again with them. While you are making a conversation, it might happen that you face challenge in how to keep the conversation going or how to make sure that it ends up in a positive note. Read it ahead.

How to Connect Effectively while Communicating?

  • Smile Genuinely
  • Appreciate Genuinely
  • Encourage Genuinely
  • Believe in Yourself & Others. Hence, genuinely make them feel that they are GREAT too!
  • NEVER Criticize. You may not agree somewhere but don’t criticize.
  • Extend conversations on topic of mutual interest & ACTUALLY LISTEN!

DO NOTs

  • DO NOT Go overboard in praising
  • DO NOT Agree with Unethical stuff
  • DO NOT be in-genuine
  • DO NOT try to Impress

If you follow the above mentioned points, chances are very high that you will be able to connect to almost anyone BUT, we must understand at the same time, that connection with people always involve TWO people, one is YOU and the other is OTHER! Hence, the success of communication depends on his interest and openness to build relations as well. In case, he seems NOT ready, you can always start sharing about yourself so that he can open up after listening to you. In case, he still doesn’t agree, then politely excuse yourself and get ahead with your work, don’t appear as irritating and pestering!
