Self-realization for self-success

1

It is all about self-realization and awareness. It is about looking inside. Everything that we have realized in our lives, it has come through experience/ Observation (Either through your own personal experiences or through the intense observation of all the happenings around you).

Self-realization can come about through:

  1. Fear of losing something or
  2. Desire of gaining something.

Whether it is through fear or desire, it is always through introspection.

When you are in the process of realization, you will have waves of emotions emerging in you. But you must not get carried away with your emotions or temporary impulses. Think, don’t worry, and know the difference between the two.

Have you ever noticed?

When you think of your work indifferently, like it was a time-pass activity, it becomes indifferent and a time-pass activity. When you think of your work as a calling, your actions change accordingly and so do the results too. Everything becomes as you think of it to be. It is NOT that your work is indifferent and a time-pass activity, that you realize it to be indifferent and  a time-pass activity, but your work becomes indifferent and a time-pass activity because you realize it to be indifferent and a time-pass activity.

When you are able to give your 100% to your work and get massive results, it is because of your realization of your work as a calling that you are able to give your 100%. The results follow later. Everything emerges from your realization, your awareness.

Self-realization leads to self-responsibility, which in-turn leads to self-success.

Example:

Will you take up the responsibility of your academic life if you have not yet realized why you must take it? No!

But when you see that your friends and classmates have scored well, while you have failed or scored poorly in several subjects, you realize that you can’t blame others’ for the mistakes you made in your academic life. You realize that if you don’t score well from now, you may not stand any chance of getting into a good or decent college. With this fear, you realize and take up the responsibility of your academic life.

Will you go an extra mile at your work if you have not yet realized why you must go? No!

But if you see your colleague who sits next to your desk at the office being promoted to a higher position, you recall that he has been working hard and going that extra mile every day for some time now. Now you realize that if you also work hard and go that extra mile, you too can get promoted. Now will you be willing to go that extra mile? Of course yes, because you realize now! It is this realization that makes you take up the responsibility of your life.

In the first scenario, the realization came through fear while in the second scenario, it came through desire.

Self-realization helps you interpret these experiences in a more meaningful and constructive way and enables you to have better and richer experiences in the future.

Points to remember:

  • Everything emerges from your realization, your awareness.
  • Introspection/ Observation is a necessity for self-realization. So choose to make constructive introspection.
  • Keep asking yourself ‘Why’ and try to understand deeper about your choices and actions.
  • Self-realization leads to self-responsibility, and self-responsibility leads to self-success.
  • Self-realization enables you to have better and richer experiences in the future.

This is elaborated in detail in my upcoming book ‘The Superhero Soul’.
